QUICK VIEW ABOUT ME AND THIS PROJECT

For 2 years with Sport-Creative and Pimp My Brand, we focused our core business on the collaboration in official Formula 1 events.
I managed the creative team responsible for proposing and creating material for F1 Fan Zone, Paddock, F1 Stores, and the related sponsors, overseeing every aspect, from creative development to graphic project management, print and production coordination, and installation strategy.

STUDIO DIRECTOR

I managed a team of 8 professionals in our Brussels office, as well as two other teams in Antwerp and Trieste.  As studio director, I had the direct responsibility for the success of the various projects and deadlines.
Constantly in contact with the different members of the Formula 1 management and the sponsors’ managers, my role involved understanding their needs and proposing solutions in line with requirements by delegating tasks to team members and closely monitoring their progress.
After approval, we developed the project in high resolution, paying close attention to detail, and then prepared it for printing.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER
In addition to the role of manager, I maintained a high productivity in the role of designer, and I managed the processing of designs and mockups to propose and coordinate the production of the approved projects.
The goal was to create innovative designs. We successfully broke through the barriers of the standards set in Formula 1 events, establishing ourselves as a crucial partner in the organisation of one of the world’s largest sporting events.

TRIPS
My team members and I were constantly present at every Grand Prix.
Our task was to be with our managing director to present our proposals to Formula 1 management and sponsors for the upcoming Grand Prix and to supervise the team of local workers to ensure the correct placement of the approved designs within the circuit, Paddock and Fan Zone areas.
This was also a great opportunity to see the projects we have worked on realised.

WAYFINDING

F1 Seasons 2018 - 2019

F1 Wayfinding

As project manager at Pimp my brand, and in collaboration with Sport-Creative, I had the great opportunity to work on F1 Wayfinding for most of the 2018 and 2019 Grand Prix events.

We were responsible for designing the visual materials displayed in the Fan Zone and around the circuits.
We also produced videos both inside and outside the venues.
In this section, you can find some of the projects we created — from concept and design to the final print-ready files.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES

F1 Photos Opportunities

This was an exciting project that gave visitors the chance to take home great memories from the event.

The request came to us for the Barcelona Grand Prix 2018: we were asked to create interactive materials for the Fan Zone, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the event experience. Among several proposals, this one was approved and, after receiving excellent feedback from the visitors, we were asked to replicate it for all the remaining Grand Prix events in the 2018 season and throughout 2019.

I developed the concept and design, and I also supervised the final print production. You can see some of the project by clicking here.

F1 ANIMATION & STAGE

F1 Animation & Stage

We started by creating infotainment and social wall videos, broadcast outside the circuit to entertain and inform Grand Prix visitors. From there, we had the chance to bring our work inside the circuit — producing branded videos for sponsors like Heineken, creating Team Radio virtual animations on the track fences, decorating the Parc Fermé and Pit Lane, animating the Formula 1 logo, and designing animations for the Safety Car.

Leading my team of just eight people, we successfully transformed concepts, design, and information into dynamic and engaging motion graphics, introducing innovative ideas to the world of Formula 1.

F1 Stores

With Sport-Creative and V12-Trackside, as Project Manager, I had the great opportunity to work on the F1 Store for most of the 2019 Grand Prix events.

We were responsible for creating designs for the F1 Store located in the Fan Zone and around the circuit. I managed the design process and coordinated communication between the clients (Puma and F1) and the suppliers.

Here you can see some of the projects we developed — from concept and design to the final print-ready files and installation.

F1 COOLDOWN ROOM

F1 Season 2019

F1 Cooldown Room

To celebrate the 1000th Grand Prix in China, Formula 1 commissioned us to redesign the Walkway and the Cooldown Room — respectively, the corridor the top three drivers walk through after the race, and the room where they relax before the podium ceremony.

The client gave us full creative freedom, and I led my team in developing a design that captured the values of glory, fury, victory, and celebration.
We transformed a plain white space into an environment that truly honored the spirit and triumph of the drivers.

The result was outstanding — the design looked spectacular on live TV, and Formula 1 loved it so much that we were invited to replicate the concept for Baku, Barcelona, and all the subsequent Grand Prix in 2019. For each circuit, we created a unique design that reflected and highlighted its distinctive character.

Take a look to some of our fantastic and successfull designs!
