In celebration of Formula 1’s 1000th Grand Prix in China, F1 commissioned us to redesign the Walkway and the Cooldown Room—respectively, the corridor crossed by the three race winners after the finish and the room where they recover before the podium ceremony.
Given full creative freedom, I led my team, mainly working with Caterina Erando and Chris Meyer, in developing a design that conveyed the values of glory, fury, victory, and celebration. We transformed an empty space with plain white walls into an environment honoring the drivers’ achievements and the intensity of the moment.
The final result was exceptional and stood out clearly during the live TV broadcast.
Formula 1 appreciated the project so much that we were asked to replicate the Cooldown Room concept for Baku, Barcelona, and all subsequent 2019 Grand Prix events.
For each race, we created a unique design inspired by the specific characteristics of the circuit.
Special thanks to Sport-Signage and Sport-Creative for the opportunity to work on this outstanding project.
