by francesca_biagini in Branding, Marketing

If you work in the restaurant business, you know that competition can be fierce.

With competition and rapidly changing trends, one of the key factors to consider is the balance between acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.

Achieving success may be easier said than done, but with the right approach, it’s entirely possible.
We therefore propose different plans, adaptable to your needs, to use to increase sales in your restaurant!

To find out more, take advantage of a free consultation!

An Efficient Menu

Simplify and make the items on your menu intuitive.  The objective is to make the tables rotate and ensure that the customer remembers your menù and your branding. You save the time clients spend choosing their meal and the time your chef spends preparing each dish.
Your restaurant will be well remembered by the customer thanks to fast service and our impactful and compact menu design!

Don’t forget to show your menu !

People love to search for information about a restaurant online before they come. Avoid that they spend hours to find information (they will certainly prefer a restaurant whose information they find immediately): publish the menu of your restaurant on your website (in priority !) and social networks.

Use a very clear format and update it regularly, 1990 Design will help you with that.

Launch a dish of the day or a specialty of the moment !

One of the major criteria for choosing a restaurant is variety ! Build customer loyalty by varying your menu according to the seasons.

To put your dishes in the spotlight, simply write them on your slate, create a Facebook/Instagram post or create a dedicated poster.

Remember to talk about it online and invite your community to come and test it!

To promote your special dishes, you can also use small videos to post on social networks, on your website or on screens in your restaurant.

Eye-catching animations attract more attention than a still image and are better remembered ! See the example below.

Work Your Brand Image

Think of your restaurant as a brand. The DNA of your Restaurant should be felt in your choice of dishes, decoration and even clothing.
We propose designs for your fornitures that reflect the image of your restaurant (towel, apron, pizza box…) so that the customer experience is total and that the customer remembers you well. If your concept is strong, you can also propose derivative products for sale (t-shirtr, bag, under glasses etc.).

Social Media's Contests And Promotions

Offer discount vouchers via your social networks with contests.

In addition to increasing the engagement and visibility of the restaurant, a game or contest can generate more sales and more visits to the establishment.
2 out of 3 users frequently search for a coupon before purchasing.

This can therefore be an excellent way to encourage them to reserve where they may still be hesitating between your establishment and a competitor’s establishment.

In addition to generating store traffic or an increase in online orders, this type of game increases engagement, attracts new fans and reaches a large audience across multiple social networks.

Not to forget that the customer loves to participate !

examples:

“All beer products at 30% off across the board, so come over and bring your friends for drinks worth more than your buck !”

or

“Win a meal for 2 for the value of 200 euro ! Start sharing this post with 10 friend !”

Web Site

Being well referenced is fundamental, but it’s not enough to get people to come to you.

To achieve this, you need to use beautiful designs and images that are representative of your Brand, your kitchen.

It will be important to take care of the following elements:

  • Attractive descriptions that evoke the quality and origin of the products
  • A highlighting of the Chef’s favourite recipes or signatures of the establishment;
  • A presentation and the “short history” of  the restaurant, as well as its values and commitments if relevant;
  • Menu and opening ours
  • Photos Gallery
  • A well-designed site will really make a difference.

But beyond its content, it must also be fast, responsive (adapted to all types of screens, most customers do their searches via smartphone) and fluid in terms of navigation.

Information must be easy and quick to find !

Do you need a website or do you need to update it?

1990_Design is there also for that ! After creating your site I will train you to use and manage it !

Business Card

Easy but essential !!  Do not hesitate to make business cards to leave on your counter or to slip into the take-away bags.

  • Once you pass your card to someone, client or not, you’ve established a connection. With a strong business card, you will be able to operate in another form of marketing: word of mouth. By sharing your card with one person, they can then share it with someone else.
  • Unlike stationary billboards and posters, business cards offer self-promotion that won’t break the bank !
  • Don’t forget to indicate the link of your site, your schedules and social networks. Do you offer online  order? Specify it ! It’s an easy way for your customers to find all your information !
